According to Chinese Medicine everything is energy and age is just a number. Human is pure spirit having a Life experience. 

Consider this: can you touch a belief, thought, feelings or will-power? No. You are experience energy on various levels of frequency and vibrations. There is a difference between the Spirit and soul of human. Many traditions believe in God and if asked where does God live in you. One would reply the heart. Not the liver or lungs. As a matter of fact many religions and philosophies explains the relationship of  the Spirit and the soul as well as the mind, body and will. Here is a perspective: The concept of the spirit of man being that by which man can know is the same. The "Shen" or Spirit lives in the Heart.  Christianity would say, "When a person is born again (born of the Spirit) as is recorded in John chapter three, then that individual can know the things of God." In Chinese Medicine traditions one would say: The Soul must have an intimate relationship with the Spirit through Refection (meditation) to be sourced by Heaven, which lives in the Heart. How? Reflection and contemplation in silence, quietness and stillness one can declare honor and respect, pray asking for guidance in the Art of Self-discipline and to be rooted in Spirit driven by courage in the pursuit of Excellence. Then listen. This is called in most traditions Meditation.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that calleth you who also will do it,” I Thessalonians 5:23-24.

There is a difference between the spirit of man, his soul and his body. The spirit of man is that by which man can know. When a person is born again (born of the Spirit) as is recorded in John chapter three, then that individual can know the things of God.

The soul of man is that part of man where he can experience feelings, emotions, desires and a very active will to respond to them. One can be sad, happy or otherwise emotionally stirred; and from these feelings or desires one’s will to do or not to do will come into play.

The body is where our five senses are. We can see, hear, taste, smell and feel.

With our spirit, we can be God-conscious. With our soul, we are self-conscious; and with our body, we are conscious of the world in which we live.

Now, “the very God of peace sanctify you wholly … .” That is to say that our God would have our whole spirit, soul and body set apart unto Him. Now if we depend upon His faithfulness, He will do it. Remember, our Lord Jesus Christ is coming for the whole person of man — spirit, soul and body.
